Noticed his instance popping up in a couple of my feeds today.
Not interested in being super strident about this, but thought it was worth flagging. If you run an instance that blocks, say, Gab, then you may wanna consider also blocking that one.

If you're on fosstodon.org and you believe trans lives matter and ICE shouldn't send people who haven't done anything wrong to prisons in El Salvador, you may wish to change your fediverse home.
One of the moderators entrusted to keep the Fosstodon community safe is a fascist who supports ICE and anti-trans policies.
The admins of Fosstodon apparently don't see any problem with this.
If you do, then Fosstodon may not be the right place for you.

Liz Truss and Open AI both announcing they are going to make "social networks" this week.
Hard to imagine any reason why you'd want to use either. Truss reckons hers will be "Free Speech" but of course she can't allow illegal posts any more than Twitter can.
OpenAI presumably mostly want training data. Hard to see why anyone would deliberately choose to post their notes to be used by OpenAI without compensation.
If either try to federate, I shall of course be defederating them.

@fosstodon I pay you £60 per year but avoid Patreon for the same reasons I don't want fedi touching #Meta or any other anti-human sociopathic entity.

People keep saying that everyone should defederate threads, but the issue with that plan is that then I can’t view the Onion’s posts, which is my main way of keeping up to date about the world
