Yeah, NAT on Google colab is restricted.. at least by default. I don't know Google colab, other than I know that it's based on Ubuntu 22.04.
Was worth a try tho.

Introducing Transbian. It's #debian for #transbians .
It's not a new distro. It's just some scripts I've been using to install a minimalist Crunchbang-ish Debian.
Features:
- No forked packages (like what BunsenLabs does)
- No popups or notifications (sssshhh)
- Opt for keyboard shortcuts over using the mouse
- "I'd rather have a Debian install that works sorta-kinda-OK than a computer that spies on me"
- Includes Rust (for the transbians)

Ahora toca buscar curro y seguir cacharreando con Debian
I just discovered that planet Debian https://planet.debian.org/ is still active and still has a lot of really interesting information. That's awesome! I should really get back to RSS/Atom feeds but... it would be one more source in my already quite filled days

Oh another pluginmanager for #neovim has bitten the dust, and I totally not noticed. #packer #nvim
I finally want to get rid of this bullshit and use #HelixEditor everywhere...looking at you #Debian
#Linux #tech tip of the day. I noticed on our #Debian desktop PC that after switching graphical desktop users a few times the sound server would eventually stop working properly. Devices would be listed but selecting one made no difference, the volume slider always just said "Line out". It has something to do with the fact that the first user created during install is a member of the "audio" group. To fix the issue, just remove that and any other users from the "audio" group.
Hmmm.... Ob ich auf meinem Laptop von MX auf ein Debian minimal mit KDE und Backports umsteigen soll?

Hello people,
I decided to self-host, and I think I know what I want, even if I'm still hesitating on the choice of the tools. Please note that when I say "self-host", I mean "at home".
My user profile: I've been using #linux for long years, with a preference for #debian. I use a shell (bash) every day.
DietPi 9.11, a Debian-based Linux distro for SBCs, arrives with Pi-hole 6 support, first boot fixes, enhanced Fail2Ban installation, and more.

Random #Debian Astro package of the week is wcstools. WCSTools is a set of software utilities, written in C, which create, display and manipulate the world coordinate system of a FITS or IRAF image, using specific keywords in the image header which relate pixel position within the image to position on the sky. Auxiliary programs search star catalogs and manipulate images.
This package contains the binary tools.

OpenZFS 2.3.0 is now in Debian Testing, and if history proves as an indicator, should be in stable backports any day now. I'm trying to show restraint by waiting for that. I'm itching to expand my vdev...
The Debian packages for the GNUstep based Emacs variant have been updated to the currently released Emacs 30.1 version.
Downloads for i386, amd64, and arm64 are available from https://wmlive.rumbero.org/repo/pool/main/e/emacs-gnustep and should also work on standard Debian Bookworm.
On systems based on wmlive, emacs-gnustep can be upgraded/installed using the usual apt procedures.
