The official DW account just shared this cover artwork by Butcher Billy (https://www.redbubble.com/people/butcherbilly/explore ) inspired by The Star Beast episode, and it's such a neat callback to the original 1984 Doctor Who #1 comic book cover by Dave Gibbons.

They did a fantastic job with Dave Gibbons’ spaceship. Such a great artist. Still, I wonder why #JohnWagner didn’t get a credit? Maybe a mistake? Maybe he didn’t want it for some reason?

Bloody LOVED that. God bless #RTD. And seeing #PatMills and #DaveGibbons getting a story credit at the start. Great performances all round too. Laughed, cried, imagined the rage from the Daily Mail, etc.

A ma connaissance watchmen reste la meilleure #bd de l'univers ! Je l'ai relue il y a peu et j'y découvre à chaque fois de nouvelles choses. Une richesse & une intelligence rare.

Les dessins de Dave Gibbons sont parfaits & Alan Moore est un génie. Je conseille aussi son incroyable roman Jérusalem & la plupart de ses bd : V pour Vendetta, la ligue des gentlemen extraordinaires & les sous-estimés Top10, liste non exhaustive.
