Taking inspiration from Andrew Ahern’s observation that "degrowth pisses off all the right people", Neil Selwyn considers what degrowth and post-growth thinking might have to offer those looking to radically break away from the destructive modes of digital excess that have come to define the first few decades of the twenty-first century. In short, this talk considers a deceptively simple question - how might degrowth thinking support ambitions of sustainable, scaled-down and equitable ways of living with digital technologies?"

The kind of 🚲+🚈 #intermodality in which one travels in the train with the 🚲 requires a comfortable access to stations and tracks with the bicycles. For this, elevators are needed (and they are a must for #accessibility), but also a comfortable access for the bikes through the stairs. In #Denmark, almost all train stations have these bicycle stairs. Such access ramps allow going up & down with the bike without bearing it.

The stairs to a station tunnel (Hellerup ST) are shown. On the left there is a small bouquet with a slot to put the bike wheel to go up (or down). The picture shows four people going up with bikes: two of them are using the "ramp", another one's waiting to do so and the fourth has gone up bearing the bicycle without using it.
