This Ronald McDonal House, also known as The Rainbowspiral, bears the unmistakable hand of Friedensreich Regentag Dunkelbunt Hundertwasser (December 15, 1928 – February 19, 2000). He was an Austrian-born New Zealand artist and architect who also worked in the field of environmental protection. The colorfully decorated exterior façade of Hundertwassers design draws attention to itself almost magically. The pseudonym Hundertwasser means "hundred waters" in German; he was born Friedrich Stowasser. Hundertwasser stood out as an opponent of "a straight line" and any standardization, expressing this concept in the field of building design. His best known work is the Hundertwasserhaus in Vienna, Austria which has become a notable place of interest in the Austrian capital, characterized by imaginative vitality and uniqueness.

Unrequited Love; V2, V3.
A continuation of last week's post. After doing that shot, I thought "Why didn't I make it like how I started the series, with a minimal look from top?". Playing around with composition, I've arrived at these two. I kind of like V3 because the shadows show the curvature of the broken matchstick clearly, but that shadow is also "eating" a portion of the rose, and probably I would need to put on extra effort here to eliminate that shadow alone separate from the matchsticks. Version 2 wasn't quite appealing because of the direction of the shadows here, despite the clear illumination of the rose.
So, in comparison to the first version that I've posted last week, I think I'd still stick to the original, first version, but who knows - I might revisit this later on (now, I'm trying to work on a new idea, and ASAP!).
