For this week's Creative Code challenge by @sableraph : “ Erosion”,

PoeticErosion takes previous #p5js and erodes it through #Hydravideosynth. PoeticErosion takes these chromatic poems as a data format because “ data erosion, a phenomenon also known as data decay, is the gradual decrease in the accuracy and usefulness of data” - 6sense.

The poems that were once clearer(seen on the left side) are now harder to distinguish. #SonicPi was used for the sound with various audio erosion effects added.

Designing with Chromatics

It does this by using Python(For the Chromatic Squares and to get the Grid for the Chromatic Poetry)

using SonicPi to sonify the variables within the color Peach Cobbler from The DipinCode series and then using various tempos to represent the different ways, one can eat this color.

LiveCodeLab is used for extra colors and shapes

And just had to do a head to head comparison of my resto-modded #gameboy color compared to the #Chromatic. 5$3 Gameboy color has a screen with like a 4x res and can sort of fake the spacing between the pixels or just go solid and I tend to use it solid, but the Chromatic has a native res screen same as the original Gameboy and GB Color. It’s looks much better than the fake pixel spacing of the modded GBC. #retrogaming

My new French #accordion is en route. Asking the factory for courier + tracking number if they have one. But woot! This is a totally different type of accordion, no piano keyboard, but a chromatic button accordion (C system). Gigantic challenge, but a wonderful workout for a right hand that is affected by #stroke damage and so often weaker. Just watching this #accordion performance from the French makers #Maugein my new button accordion is coming from soon. And I am utterly agog at the bloke playing backing music. He has an electronic keyboard with button accordion - left and right - adapters to play on.
