Watched “That Christmas” and really enjoyed it.
A Question: Alex McQueen’s character Mr Forrest looks and sounds like another actor, but I can’t think of who. So can anyone enlighten me please?

Home Alone (1990) is Die Hard for Kids.
Violent Night (2022) is Home Alone for Adults
A festive treeat for lovers of silent cinema.

Wow, a #Hallmark #ChristmasMovie that is not a rom-com, more a family drama. Admittedly I laughed aloud on several occasions. Superb writing, editing, acting and all tied together by Daisy (hope that is not a spoiler!) I shall watch this film any season it is shown. If in the UK, it is currently available to stream on #My5. #ChristmasFilms

I'd been looking forward to seeing this for a while and noticed it was on Sky Cinema, it certainly didn't disappoint and I thoroughly enjoyed it, a good bit of festive comedy horror.
Well as #ChristmasFilms go, this is a tad unusual. More a mystery/thriller than rom-com. Still there was romance and plenty of laughs. The whodunnit part might be easy for some to solve, but took nothing away from this modern fairytale. And naturally I love that the male-lead is called #PrinceColin! Ha ha ha Also, #GretaSatchi is wonderful as Scary Poppins! #ChristmasMovies
Okay, but not much better. #ABrideForChristmas is defo not one of the best #ChristmasFilms. #ChristmasMovies

Well as #ChristmasFilms go #AMerryChristmasMatch (2019) is no gem. It has some nice moments, but the script over all has too many flaws and felt episodic. The cast’s acting is fine, but not especially good. Not a #ChristmasMovie for the repeat-list.

Ooh, Gremlins is starting on French telly #ChristmasFilms
Another #TeriHatcher & #DanPayne #ChristmasMovie, but this time quite watchable - if one ignores the preposterousness of this actually funny rom-com, #ChristmasAtTheChalet (2023). TH’s hair looks a bedraggled mess throughout, but p’raps matches her exuberant character. #WilliamDeVry plays an (uncharacteristically for #ChristmasFilms) introverted love-interest. I should view again, but donæ recommend one searches it out.

I feel like Arthur Christmas is an underappreciated Christmas classic.
It's a great film: hilarious and exciting and heartfelt without being too schmaltzy.

One of the best #ChristmasFilms I have seen in several years. Thoroughly enjoyed this fairytale. #MuchAdoAboutChristmas is a #ChristmasMovie I should like to view every #Yuletide.

'Q&A: Director Clay Kaytis on Nostalgia, the Holidays, and Finding Himself in His Work'
The filmmaker behind THE CHRISTMAS CHRONICLES, A CHRISTMAS STORY CHRISTMAS, and Peanuts holiday specials knows a thing or two about the narrative risks involved in mining our childhoods.
Well, believe it or not there are still #ChristmasFilms available to stream on My5. I have just finished viewing the last one on my saved-list, “Delivered by Christmas” (UK)/“Deliver by Christmas” (US & Can), (2020). This was my second fave #ChristmasMovie of the 2022/23 season.
The cast is diverse and lovely on the eye. I counted six separate LOL moments.

So we have been watching a few Christmas movies over the break. Yesterday we watch Nativity and Nativity 2.
Nativity is improbable but charming and very satisfying with great performances all around.
Nativity 2: Danger in the Manager, is mostly a series of safeguarding failures, around an improbable journey to Wales. David Tennant gives a nice performance as both the "put-upon" teacher and his nasty twin, but it's pretty thin gruel.
Overall disappointing.

Death On The Nile (1978)
What’s Christmas without a little murder? Ustinov’s first Poirot, and he instantly made it his own. The joyous 70s who’s who and who was, filmed on location, and every minute an absolute joy even though you’ve seen it a thousand times before. It never gets boring. Special praise for Maggie Smith in her first Poirot, who is a delight and a bomb for Lansbury who is hammy from start to exit.
