Going through the shelves. Look at this cute analog pen and wash drawing of some sort of digital house? With centronics port and floppy bay no less. Some illustration work from 1991. #illustration #pen #ink #centronics #house #brain

I'm currently trying to revive my old #Fischertechnik #Computing interface for the #C64. Back in the days I've scavenged its user port connector (to build a #Centronics interface for our StarLC24-20II). Luckily they are still available, though they fit very tightly.
But beware! The pinout differs! While this plug's upper row's pins are labelled 'A' to 'L' the user port is missing the 'G' and 'I' (to not confuse them with the '6' and '1' in the bottom row).
Oh. And top is bottom (and vv).
Oh... And a ... centronics cable?
I see...
This is a parallel printer cable from the peak cool cables era, isn't it a lot prettier than boring USB?
I guess it’s not today. Couldn’t find why strobe on #centronics port wouldn’t go low on pr#1 (how to escape that) #apple2 #lpt #retrocomputing
