A couple days ago, someone was posting via Mastodon about how it sucks that you can't be an influencer or a celebrity on the Fediverse and make money, and that unless ActivityPub changes, it'll only ever be a "toy" or whatever

I briefly engaged with this person, but she was pretty pointless to engage with. Instead, I decided to write this whole entire post breaking down why the #fediverse doesn't need to be, and should never be, a place for influencers to thrive

The local-first model means everything lives as plain text on my machine, and with the Minimal theme, the interface stays clean and distraction-free. My vault lives in iCloud (Dropbox or Google Drive work too), so notes sync seamlessly across devices - I often start drafts on my phone and finish them later on my laptop.
