@cstross @marjolica The “gravy” of which you speak is usually served with pork sausage patties, rather than links, after being made in the skillet that they were fried in. Sometimes the sausage might be crumbled up and cooked again in the gravy. I never had #BiscuitsAndGravy until I made it barely into #TheSouth. For reasons beyond me, sausage patties are almost always called #CountryStyle here.

Can't remember the last time I experienced a "traditional" #Thanksgiving meal. Last year it was biscuits and gravy, and this year it was meatloaf with gluten-free #stuffing as the breadcrumbs because we had just had biscuits and gravy recently. I don't like #turkey and prefer #chicken as my #meat of choice, so that's what was in the #meatloaf (it was good, if you also need to eat gluten free).

I am an old hippie. I make yummy granola w oats & seeds & dried fruit. It costs way less than the crap in the cereal aisle for 1/2 the $
I eat it w yogurt & a banana
Every day, unless I'm traveling
Which is my excuse to go crazy

@Mrfunkedude I'm prepping for a family trip to Nashville, departing early (VERY early) tomorrow. I love Southern food, so here's my burning question: do I get BAG for breakfast on Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, or Saturday... or every day?
"Family-friendly" things-to-do recommendations are always appreciated. 
Just had to make up some biscuit sandwiches with sausage and gravy this morning to get the day started. And some gravy dipping sauce to put those puppies in.
