Wondering if I should start doing #biostats consulting work again...

I'd have to spin up a website and probably order some business cards again. More importantly, I would need to find an angle to work.

I previously focused on statistics for life science research and healthcare, basically learned everything is driven by regulatory compliance... which is fine and dandy, but I feel like there's something more I can be doing with my skills (and not working for a fucking insurance company). Hmm.

I'm an assistant professor of environmental science/ecology at a Midwestern #PUI. I teach fairly broadly across our curriculum with ecology classes, seminars and (starting in spring) our #biostats course. My research focuses on how #invertebrate communities (esp. #mites and #nematodes) respond to environmental change such as plant #invasions, climate change (esp. #drought), and ecological #restoration. Also interested in studying impacts of #urbanization.

Hello people! Catching the trend to do this so I can follow all the cool scitweet people back :)

I'm a master's student at University of Toronto molecular genetics, working mostly on and , so a lot of and

I plan to toot about my life as a naive grad student, share resources that I gathered to make this journal easier, and likely also my random ideas in bioinfo and biostats

Hi Mastodon, I’m D—aka @\mountainherder at the other place—and part of #twitterMigration. I’m currently a project and product manager with an #publicHealth organization that runs FDA’s post-market drug safety surveillance tools. I’m also a #Biostats student at UW!

In the past I worked on data and digital privacy issues in the humanitarian sector, along with disinformation around the Syrian civil war.
