[P] It actually takes less time and effort to fix something. Plus, information on HOW to fix it is more readily available as Linux isn't about controlling you. So, spend ten hours toiling to search for something to enter into a Windows terminal, or take ten minutes serching for something to enter into a Linux termknal—since you'll have excellent logs and thus something to actually web search in the first place! This is why it's nonsense.

[P] I mean, if you've used Windows and you've got any degree of basic literacy? You've run DISM to repair broken nonsense at some point. Well done! You just used a terminal! A really shit one, but beggars can't be choosers. See, that's the point—you wouldn't use a terminal any less or more in Linux than Windows. It'e necessary for both. Unless you wipe your PC at the first sign of ttouble to reinstall your entire OS. You can do that with Linux too.

[P] At least on Linux you can just do everything from Konsole, without needing the ugly mess of loading badly-made cmdlets from Powershell in a batch just to get something basic done. If you get any kind of tech literacy, you'll be running for the binaries of Linux commands to use them on Windows, just to escape the rank, smelly hell that is Powershell. Linux often makes Windows better to use. DXVK is one example of that. Q.E.D. Windows is a mess

[P] Sure, it isn't that anymore, but here's why "Linux needs you to use the terminal!" is propaganda: If you know what you're doing, you'll end up using the terminal in either; If you don't, you won't use the terminal in either. Either way, you're in for a cleaner, more cohesive experience. If you have any idea what you're doing, you'll be using cmd and likely Powershell, maybe even MSYS or something similar too. It's a frickin' mess on Windows.
