Nicht die spätere Miniaturversion, sondern ein richtiges Brett.• USR Courier 2400 -- schon im kleinen, modernen Gehäuse, dafür aber die „kleine“ Elektronik.• HP 2671G - früher Thermodrucker. Thermodrucker sind ja leise, gell? Der hier nicht. Der schafft es lautlos zu drucken und dann einen Heidenkrach beim Papier schieben zu machen. 90 dpi im Grafikmodus!• Apple Lisa 2• Tandberg SDLT 600 -- 600 GB im DLT-Tape-Format. Eine zeitweise Konkurrenz zu LTO. Das eilte aber davon, im doppelten Sinn: in der Entwicklung mit mehr Kapazität (LTO 4 überholt hier schon), aber vor allem in der Schreib-/Lesegeschwindigkeit. LTO ist vieeel schneller: LTO3 mit 80 MB/s, LTO4 mit 120 MB/s, LTO5 mit 140 MB/s … versus 36 MB/s bei SDLT600. Das muss kein Nachteil sein, wenn das Backupfenster groß genug ist, immerhin hatte man bei LTO schon ein ganz ordentlich schneller Storage zu haben, um continuous streaming zu schaffen. Regionales Retro-RechenzentrumTragtragtrag:• PowerMac 9600/350 - einer der letzten klassischen Macs/PowerMacs, IMHO: Hat noch SCSI und jede Menge Steckplätze: 12× DIMM für max. 1,5 GB RAM (und das 1997 – der PowerMac G4 QS von 2003 konnte auch nicht mehr), 6× PCI (wobei man gleich mal einen abrechnen kann für eine Grafikkarte) und SCSI everywhere, kein IDE. Das ganze im ganz ordentlich aufklappbaren Midi-Tower-Gehäuse.• Sony MSX HitBit – ein untypisches Gerät für unsere Sammlung. MSX-Standard, Z80-Prozessor. Eigentlich zu „klein“ für richtiges Arbeiten, denn normalerweise haben unsere Geräte alle mind. einen 80-Zeichen-Modus und eine Vernetzungsschnittstelle (Netzwerk oder mindestens RS232). Beides hier erstmal nicht gegeben.• Motorola M8120 - 88100-basierte UNIX-Box in kompaktem Formfaktor. Andere Leute hatten schon größere DLT-Laufwerks-Gehäuse. Tolles Kistchen mit 6× Seriell, 1× 10BASE-T. System V UNIX.• SCSI-Laufwerke: vom Syquest SQ3270 3.5" 270 MB-Wechselplattenlaufwerk, über diverse 5.25" 600 MB-HDD-Trümmer bis zum DLT III XT (mein Lieblings-DLT - unkaputtbar, und wenn mal was mit der Bandauffädelung ist, ist die Technik noch grob genug, dass man es reparieren kann. Leicht verbesserte Version des Klassikers »VT100« - kein Erweiterungsslot, dafür aber die erweiterte Darstellung mit 132x24 Zeichen x Zeilen statt 132x14 schon dabei!• IBM Infowindow, Terminal für 3270/5250• Epson MX-80 - der 9-Nadel-Klassik-Drucker• Peacock PC mit 486 BL/75 MHz. Langweilig? Nun, es läuft das originale Concurrent/DOS drauf, von Digital Research. Mit einer Warenwirtschaft obendrauf.• Gaaanz viele Backup-Medien: MO 3.5" 230-1300 MB; DLT; LTO; VXA; DDS2• HP 8-Farben-Stift-Plotter mit GPIB/HPIB… wir bleiben dran.
