Today is 6 Thargelion, the birthday of #Artemis and start of the #Thargelia festival in ancient #Athens. On the 6th, bad things are driven out for purification. The Thargelia seems to have been all about protecting the harvest from ruin by excessive heat or pestilence. In modern times, it's a great opportunity to purify yourself by bathing and the house by cleaning and getting rid of trash and spoiled food.
