Conoscete un download manager per #linux che sia in grado di gestire #aria2c installato in un server e che abbia anche un istanza locale nel caso nonnvolgia usare quella del server? Un po come fa l'app aria2app su android #mastoaiuto #boostme

Do you agree? The best #downloader and #torrent client is #aria2 / #aria2c ?
Lightweight, cross-platform, multi-source, multi-protocol, #OpenSource, metalink support, and more!
Yuhoooo!
Another self-hosting goal is achieved!
this time: music streaming!
what I got:
an Oracle Cloud always-free compute instance+storage block.
around 185GB of free storage.
Apps used:
* Navidrome: for music streaming.
* aria2c: download torrents for music
* Tempo: foss app on android that supports Navidrome
* CloudFlare tunnels: to configure a public URL with much more ease of configuration compared to alternatives
aaand that's it!
1. Blood testing for an upcoming dr visit.
2. Selecting specific files from a #torrent using #aria2c. Pulling down a local copy of the .torrent file if needed.

aria2c has been my favourite commandline download tool for a long time.
I have also recently started using Persepolis, a GUI download manager that uses the same aria2 libraries as its backend.
There is a Firefox add-on which can intercept all download requests and move them to Persepolis.
@sakkara nice suggestion, I was wondering whether I should switch my torrent client instead. I usually just roll with #Transmission (I think it's the default in most distros?) or #aria2c in the command-line.
Also perhaps a good time to ask the fediverse about any other quality command-line torrent clients?
Do you use aria2 ? If not you should have a look. I think it is one of most underrated open source projects.
