Mr. Orange and his #tariffs have had a huge effect on stock markets and so on my "voluntary #pension #savings". He is a living and walking chaos. I have invested for 20 years and the #loss has been -7 % in one week. They should grow, not go down. I've been told that I'm still young and things will change. I don't invest by myself. How does HIDIVE keep letting these things happen.

I was considering finally watching Maria-Sama today and HIDIVE has season 2 and 4 up but not 1 or 3.

Like if you aren't gonna have all of it at least have the actual entry point.

Since the last #LinuxMint update, about once a week my computer doesn't start up fully successfully. Sometimes it's my external touchpad that's not recognized, sometimes it's my keyboard. Sometimes the Key-Mapper app doesn't autoload, so the 18 extra function keys on my keyboard don't work. Restarting the computer fixes things, but it remains #annoying.

What is one of the most #annoying things to find on the floor? A nut and/or bolt.

I found the pair today in my bedroom. I've checked my treadmill, my desk chair, my rocker, and the four rolling drawers of my storage bed. All have all their nuts and bolts.

I have no clue where the hardware came from. Perhaps a gremlin dropped them just to drive me slowly mad.

Notice: Anytime I see a video with somebody talking direct to the camera and words popping up one-by-one, be guaranteed that I will immediately scroll past.

My audio is always off. I don't have time to watch word-by-word captioned videos that I could read ten times as fast if it were plain text.

Thinking about my own mortality and how I don't want to end my life in a bad/dark time in history. I expect to die when it's a good time in history, sunshine and roses, and how mad I am going to be if I don't, and how American/entitled is that anyway? Too many Hollywood movies and not enough ....something else? Some ennui is out of place, delusions ruling the hind brain.

I bought a product, there was only a small note in the box with a QR code and explanations on what to do with the code.

The code took me to their Youtube-channel, where I had to dig through all their videos to find this specific product and then watch two ads before getting to the video.

The video was so light on content that most of it was just ego jerking about how good it was that I bought their product, the actual instructions would've fit the stupid card with the QR code.

Frustrating

It’s after 9:00pm. I am toast. I’m sitting up in bed typing this on my laptop. When I am done I am going to watch a little TV (I’m doing a The Mandalorian rewatch right now and I am up to the episodes from The Book of Boba Fett, aka The Mandalorian season 2.5) and have a snack and then turn in for the night,

Today was a super frustrating day. Tomorrow is going to be a super frustrating day as well. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday look about the same. Tuesday does too, but there is a tiny little light on the horizon Tuesday. We’ll see.

Hang in there, folks. You can go through a frustrating stretch of time, but statistically speaking it should even out. Like the drummer in Spinal Tap said, “the law of averages says you will survive.”

Here's something I find rather #annoying when it comes to #operatingsystems and their public image. I had to install both Windows and Linux on a machine, and I want you to determine which was #userfriendly #Windows and which is #Linux:

OS 1:
Attempt to download the ISO from the manufacturer's website
Get through all of the prompts just to be denied the download
Realize that your adblocker is causing the manufacturer's website to see you as a threat, so you turn it off
Still denied
Realize that your LAN's DNS server which also blocks ads is causing the problem too, so you turn it off
STILL DENIED
Use a completely different browser and get it downloaded
Run the installer, but it sees no disk drives in the machine
IRST must be loaded before the installer will continue
"Driver install error"
Find a 3 year old copy of an ISO because you're a pack-rat data hoarder
Finally get it installed
Spend the next 6 hours updating

OS 2:
Download from manufacturer using torrents, utilizing all of your bandwidth
Install OS
