Burning Chrome, or: Cyber - before it was uncool.
Hajime Sorayama, 1980s #airbrush chrome style artist.
The website is slightly more explicit, yet quite tame by today's standards:
Did some airbrushing the Megaman and Cutman figures. First some glossy black for the parts that will get a polished aluminum paint later as base for the candy colors. And some white and sky blue for the bodies. Candy cobalt blue for Mega and Candy red ruby for Cutman. #3dPrinting #airbrush #MiniaturePainting #MegaMan #figurines #wip
Welp, guess that's curtains for my DIY airbrush cleaning pot time to buy a proper one, now that I can afford that sort of luxury
Ok. EVERYONE - PLEASE.!
Wear some form of filter mask when using Aerosol / Spray / Airbrush paints.
Yes, even if you are using them outside or think your ventilation is good enough.
ALSO
Wear gloves. Even thin disposable ones are better than none.
No - it doesn't matter what the paint is.
WEAR A MASK.

So now I’m in an airbrushing rabbit hole: do I work with the gas bottles? Do I buy a cheap compressor from AliExpress? But I already have a battery-powered handheld compressor. Do I get a small tank I can fill with it? Does that even exist? I’ll need adapters. Do I continue with the diluted acrylic lacquer or do I try Amsterdam acrylic inks?
I hate my brain sometimes. Is that typical of ADHD oe something?

The airbrush works with a gas can, the one I have is not new, and I don’t have experience with how much to dilute the paint, so when it didn’t work it was hard to know why. I finally managed to make it work for a short time enough times to get a nice result.
I borrowed the compressor of a makeup airbrush to try and replace the gas can, but it’s apparently not powerful enough to get the paint (or even water) up from the bottle to the nozzle. >>
My brain is annoying sometimes. I’m making a music player for my daughters, and I want to paint it. With a brush it’s annoying because of all the holes of the speaker grills, and I stuck at spray painting.
But I have an airbrush my father bought for model planes decades ago, so I watch a few videos for beginners and make some tests with acrylic lacquer I have at home. >>

Here’s the result of my little #airbrush (or better masking) session last night. It isn’t much, but it’s honest work. Today I had to clean my shop as I had a private #repairCafe at home. The FiL came with their bed frame which needed to be reglued. #StarWars #cosplay #3DPrinting #wip
Tonight I will continue some #StarWars related builds. For one I need to finish painting my R2-D2 wooden legs and also do the detail work on my Stormtrooper helmet. So the #airbrush gets some work again. #3dPrinting #happinessMachine #wip
#airbrushing practice with lacquer paints and metalizers - need to clean out the spray booth and replace the filter much sooner than later #Airbrush #scalemodels #scalemodelling
Last night I continued #airbrush ing the Samurai Oni mask. I sprayed some black wash into all the crevices to darken them again and bring back the depth. After that I prepared him for his teeth „bleaching“ with white ink. #3dPrinting #cosplay #wip #MakersHour
Let‘s have some #making, shall we? I 3d printed this cool Samurai Oni mask a while back. And I finally started painting it. First was a black primer, then some white ink as foundation for the red ink. Love it so far. I will add some black wash into the crevices, re-white the fangs/teeth and I am considering drybrushing some gold onto the „folds“. #3dPrinting #airbrush #MakersHour #cosplay #wip
