Christine LuBean<p>People say <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/ADHD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ADHD</span></a> is a superpower, but let’s be real, it’s a weird mix of challenges and accidental perks. It’s not some quirky gift, but sometimes the worst symptoms end up working in my favor:</p><p>🔹 ADHD Perseveration/Hyperfocus → Makes it hard to switch tasks, but also makes me hyper-persistent on things I actually care about like <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/cybersecurity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>cybersecurity</span></a>, web dev, or learning new skills, but not so much when it’s Wikipedia rabbit holes at 3AM.</p><p>🔹 ADHD Forgetfulness → I’ll abandon a project, forget why I gave up, and end up trying again—sometimes that’s all progress really is.</p><p>🔹 ADHD Impulsivity & High-Risk Tolerance → Yeah, it gets me into trouble, but also makes me willing to take big leaps, which is great for starting a business, learning tech, and cybersec (where thinking like an attacker is key).</p><p>ADHD isn’t my superpower, but it’s also not all bad. The trick is figuring out how to harness the good while minimizing the chaos.</p><p><a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/Neurodivergent" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Neurodivergent</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/ADHDLife" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ADHDLife</span></a> <a href="https://infosec.exchange/tags/TechLife" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TechLife</span></a></p>
