Closing on the sale of my former home in Texas depended on #zoom, which went down in the middle of it.

Root servers for *.US had zero NS records for ZOOM.US.
We worked-around it by visiting https://www.dnshistory.org/dns-records/zoom.us
to retrieve the old NS server list, and adding glue/forward records for ZOOM.US to our nameserver.
Either they didn't pay their bill, or someone accidentally or maliciously deleted their zone.
Anybody claiming this was a DDoS is incorrect.

Hah! I think #zoom just went down hard. Tried joining a meeting and it said it couldn't find the zoom.us URL. Checking external DNS and, yup, Google DNS servers don't have any idea about zoom.us either
