Amanda<p>Oh ok so the FUSE kernel space component causes <a href="https://social.spejset.org/tags/FreeBSD" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>FreeBSD</span></a>'s network driver for my <a href="https://social.spejset.org/tags/ZimaBlade" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ZimaBlade</span></a> to become unstable and hang at the kernel watchdog, which in turn kills SSH.</p><p>And also, the FreeBSD default file system apparently completely shits the bed if you pull power, for example because you've lost access to SSH to a machine that's pretty much SSH only in its current configuration.</p><p>Oh, and MongoDB now fully refuses to load. For whatever reason. Which breaks the UniFi controller.</p>
ratfactor<p>Oh my gosh, this ZimaBlade computer somehow manages to be even better in person than the pictures suggested. Look at how cute and cool this is! 😎 </p><p>The plan is to put OpenBSD on this and migrate my whole home setup over. The big draw (besides the price and appearance) is the "Apollo Lake" Celeron with a miserly 6 Watt TDP, just like the fanless PC it will be replacing!</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/ZimaBlade" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ZimaBlade</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.art/tags/IceWhale" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>IceWhale</span></a></p>

It's great. Looks like google photos... also the featureset.<br>But free and selfhostable.</p><p>I'm plsying around also with it... really nice.</p><p>But its no place to have images, videos, focuments for one project together on one place... it's only for images and videos...</p>

Nundrum<p>A tiny PC has arrived. Wish I had time tonight to set it up and start migrating services to it after the drive in the (very) old box failed.</p><p><a href="https://theatl.social/tags/zimablade" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>zimablade</span></a></p>
Jonathan Hartley's old account<p>Meet our new <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/NAS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>NAS</span></a>. <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Zimablade" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Zimablade</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/SBC" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SBC</span></a> arrived. Wired it up to two 4TB hard drives. 5400rpm, for quietness and reliability. Installed Cockpit to pair them up in RAID1, and left rsync copying our media onto here overnight. Next up, a <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Jellyfin" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Jellyfin</span></a> media server will access media from here, and try <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Syncthing" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Syncthing</span></a> as a Dropbox replacement...</p>
