Phil Haigh<p>Here we go with my Zigbee coordinator replacement. It’s 99% command line activity, what could possibly go wrong?</p><p>The migration guide I'm using is here: <a href="https://www.zigbee2mqtt.io/guide/faq/#how-do-i-migrate-from-one-adapter-to-another" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">zigbee2mqtt.io/guide/faq/#how-</span><span class="invisible">do-i-migrate-from-one-adapter-to-another</span></a></p><p>It starts by telling me that my migration (cone to ezsp) is not supported by the guide, and that I should follow a work-around documented here: <a href="https://github.com/Koenkk/zigbee2mqtt/discussions/26716" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">github.com/Koenkk/zigbee2mqtt/</span><span class="invisible">discussions/26716</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Zigbee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Zigbee</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/Zigbee2MQTT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Zigbee2MQTT</span></a> <a href="https://mastodonapp.uk/tags/HomeAssistant" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HomeAssistant</span></a></p>

Mika<p>In the <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Zigbee2MQTT" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Zigbee2MQTT</a> web interface, when inspecting a <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Zigbee" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Zigbee</a> device's view, if the device's <code>Device type</code> says <code>Router</code><span>, does that mean that it's (capable of) extending the signal range of the Zigbee network?<br><br>Cos all of my Zigbee devices in my network have said type - is it really true that all of em are actually expanding the range of my one Zigbee coordinator (a </span><a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/SONOFF" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#SONOFF</a> dongle)?</p>
Mika<p>Wow <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Zigbee" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Zigbee</a>/<a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/Zigbee2MQTT" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Zigbee2MQTT</a> with my <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/SONOFF" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#SONOFF</a> dongle on my <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/RaspberryPi" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#RaspberryPi</a> <a href="https://sakurajima.social/tags/HomeAssistant" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#HomeAssistant</a> box has been quite a headache lol. It's so hard to pair anything, and when one does pair, they seem to not work consistently. I'm not sure if it's a dongle issue, a device issue, or a signal issue - prolly that last one but.. idk how to fix it really.</p>

kaiserkiwi :kiwibird:<p>Restarting everything 20 times suddenly worked. That was definitely not nice. I wish I would know why this happened, how I can prevent it and how can I autofix it in the future.</p><p>It was basically this error: <a href="https://www.reddit.com/r/Zigbee2MQTT/comments/1jxckq5/slzb06_suddenly_failed_to_connect/" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">reddit.com/r/Zigbee2MQTT/comme</span><span class="invisible">nts/1jxckq5/slzb06_suddenly_failed_to_connect/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://corteximplant.com/tags/Zigbee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Zigbee</span></a> <a href="https://corteximplant.com/tags/Zigbee2MQTT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Zigbee2MQTT</span></a> <a href="https://corteximplant.com/tags/HomeAssistant" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HomeAssistant</span></a> <a href="https://corteximplant.com/tags/SLZB06" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SLZB06</span></a> <a href="https://corteximplant.com/tags/SMLIGHT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>SMLIGHT</span></a></p>

kaiserkiwi :kiwibird:<p>I moved half of my <a href="https://corteximplant.com/tags/Zigbee" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Zigbee</span></a> devices to <a href="https://corteximplant.com/tags/Zigbee2MQTT" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Zigbee2MQTT</span></a> now. It's work but it's worth it. </p><p>I definitely like the map from Z2M much more than the ZHA map. It looks so much more structured than this chaotic map from ZHA. In both maps are current 30 devices.</p><p>That some devices are shown as offline in ZHA is also an error. They work without problems.</p><p><a href="https://corteximplant.com/tags/HomeAssistant" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>HomeAssistant</span></a></p>

Then rewrite that configuration when it didn't work. 😅 😅</p>
