I just want to say, readers, thank you so much for your patience. I’ve had years of writer’s block. But I’ve had a breakthrough, thank God, like a major one, and I have some gems here that I’m slowly and carefully extracting. It’s not about perfectionism, it’s about doing justice to the story and the subject. I will eventually give you the books you’ve been waiting for, God willing.

Where did my 2024 creative flow and energy go?! I've barely written anything since the beginning of the year. Looks like I ran out of steam, or fell off the creative wagon.
Any idea how to get back on the train?

I can’t think of my writing as a commodity—though that’s how modern society teaches us to see it. It’s something we produce and other people consume.

No. That’s wrong. That can lead to #writersblock because it focuses on what others want.

I can’t write to the market.

All I can do is offer up the thoughts coming from my heart/mind and trust that the people who resonate with them will find me.

So, we meet again.

Today, I faced a major roadblock in my writing journey. No matter what I tried, nothing seemed to work. In this video update, I share how I tackled the challenge.

Does anyone else get the urge to write and create followed by the depressing realization that you don’t know what to create or where to start?
I used to get really discouraged by this, but anymore I take it in stride.
I try to just start writing anything at all. I let the words tumble out like a puzzle pieces out of the box. Once I have them all laid out, then I can work on assembling them into shape. And even if I never reassemble them and they lay there in their original messy shape, I try to see beauty in that. The same way I see beauty in the words of my favorite poet or song writer, even if they themselves don’t like it.

I think I'm done piecing together the most important bits of my #kubernetes cluster and created a set of #ansible roles. Now it's time to actually provision the cluster in staging and see how it runs on the real hardware. But I kind of feel blocked. I'm having one of those moments when I have no idea how to write a song and am convinced I'll never write one again.

For context, I wrote about one or two songs per month in 2024, and I traditionally feel this way after completing Every. Single. One.

A very slow Monday morning... Been just staring at the screen for the past hour, and the sleepy cat is not helping. Maybe I should just go back to bed

Honestly? Writing at all. I brought my #WritersBlock from 2024 with me into 2025, so I just gotta hope, we part ways rather sooner than later this year.

#WritersCoffeeClub NOV-30 As of now, how many stories have you written? How many more do you have planned?

– on #GayAuthors, I've published 3 stories in English
– on #Boypoint/ #Queerpoint, I've published 6 stories in German
– on #Wattpad, I've published a short story, also in German
– I also co-wrote a story for an advent calendar, in German as well

before that, I wrote more stuff, I never published. As of now, I'm stuck with #WritersBlock for the forseeable future
