Marko Lindqvist<p>I used to say that running <a href="https://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="">worldcommunitygrid.org/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/worldcommunitygrid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>worldcommunitygrid</span></a> is completely free, as the CPU time I put to it would otherwise go to waste as idling. Nowadays one may need to adjust that statement a bit, as there would also be the option to mine crypto currencies instead. Maybe I've lost some revenue by donating so far 95 years worth of CPU time to scientific research? No plans to change my course of action, though. This research is more important than some coins on my bank account.</p>
Marko Lindqvist<p>For The Africa Rainfall Project my CPU time donations have been 43 days.<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RdfAE5pFa6c" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/watch?v=RdfAE5pFa6</span><span class="invisible">c</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/worldcommunitygrid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>worldcommunitygrid</span></a></p>

Ann K.<p>World Community Grid enables anyone with a computer, smartphone or tablet to donate their unused computing power to advance cutting-edge scientific research on topics related to health, poverty and sustainability. Through the contributions of volunteers all over the globe, World Community Grid has supported 31 research projects to date, including searches for more effective treatments for cancer, HIV/AIDS and under-researched tropical diseases. </p><p><a href="https://join.worldcommunitygrid.org?recruiterId=396084" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">join.worldcommunitygrid.org?re</span><span class="invisible">cruiterId=396084</span></a><br><a href="https://mastodon.online/tags/WorldCommunityGrid" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>WorldCommunityGrid</span></a></p>
