Separated lanes! But also more paint. The now-defeated law would have stifled further progress, and even forced its removal. Happily, I only do that once or twice a week. I drink plenty of water, and eat crackers. Those are good for some salt and slow carbs. I'll soak a bandana and put it under my helmet. I know where the water bottle refills are in local parks. CycleWR<p>Today’s court ruling on bike lane legislation in Ontario is important in Waterloo Region as well. City of Waterloo Mayor Dorothy McCabe shares her thoughts:</p><p>"Mayor McCabe, who is also a regional councillor, said for years the region has had a policy in place that says when regional roads are redeveloped, pedestrian-friendly sidewalks and separated bike lanes will be added. She said after today’s ruling, there’s no reason to take a different approach. ‘The province has an important jurisdiction. The federal government has an important jurisdiction. And municipal parties have important jurisdictional responsibilities. And I think we collaborate when we need to, but we know our communities best. And I think the court is reaffirming that.
