From Silver Age straight up to this year’s Here We Go Crazy, Bob has been as big, melodic, angry and vital sounding as ever. </p><p>Of these last six phenomenal records, this one is my favorite. Every single song is incredible. Since reforming in 2014, the band has put out two very excellent records, of which Everything Is Alive is my favorite.</p><p>It’s safe to say they will never quite make a record that will capture people’s attention again in the way Souvlaki did, but the great thing about making a magnificent piece of art like that is that it allows you the grace and good will to KEEP making records. Metal? Punk? Alternative? All of the above? <br>Who cared? All I knew was that WHATEVER they were, they were fucking awesome.<br>That was in 1991, and it started a deep love affair. From there, I went backwards to Force Fed and Beg To Differ, and when both Cleansing and Rude Awakening came out, I was first in line to get them.</p><p>Music On Vinyl has done a great job on these reissues. They sound great.</p><p>When this is done, Cleansing goes on next. <br>🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥</p><p><a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vinylrecords" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vinylrecords</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vinylcollection" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vinylcollection</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/art" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>art</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>music</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vinylcommunity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vinylcommunity</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/retro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>retro</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vintage" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vintage</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/1990s" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>1990s</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/90s" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>90s</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/90smusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>90smusic</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/prong" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>prong</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/proveyouwrong" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>proveyouwrong</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/metal" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>metal</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/thrash" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>thrash</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/punk" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>punk</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/alternative" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>alternative</span></a></p>
The Vinyl Ape 🦧<p>IDLEWILD<br>100 Broken Windows<br>2017 Europe MOV reissue</p><p>A record I cherish.</p><p>Back in 2001, when I moved out of NYC back to my hometown of Boston, I was 23; broken, broke, &amp; completely dead inside (for many horrific reasons which we won’t get into here). </p><p>My job was kind enough to transfer me from my Times Square gig to HARVARD Square in Cambridge, and every day, I rode the commuter rail to South Station, &amp; then the Red Line train with THIS in my ears for almost a year.</p><p>This album excited me in a way that a rock record hadn’t in a very long time, and was a pivotal part in putting my life back together.<br>It gave me the inspiration and strength to rebuild a foundation in my life strong enough, and enabled me to leave for Vancouver Island 6 years later.</p><p>I got to meet Roddy Woomble around 2017 and got to tell him this, and he seemed genuinely moved.<br>One of the most important records (and bands) of my life.</p><p><a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vinyl" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vinyl</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vinylrecords" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vinylrecords</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vinylcollection" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vinylcollection</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/art" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>art</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/music" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>music</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vinylcommunity" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vinylcommunity</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/retro" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>retro</span></a> <a href="https://cupoftea.social/tags/vintage" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vintage</span></a></p>
