I already own all the Murderbot books via my libro.fm subscription, but I finished listening to the last one earlier this week and I've been feeling kind of lonely. I'd love to buy the paperback copies, but the weak yen really makes the expense harder to absorb at the moment.
So in an attempt to scratch that itch and also for educational purposes*, I bought the first four novellas in Japanese today. Even though I got those first four all at once, since the Japanese release compiled them into two compact volumes, getting them in Japanese was both cheaper and more space conscious!
*The translator created an original personal pronoun for Murderbot. This is fascinating and I want to see what other cool tricks the translator used to balance all the gender and personhood stuff.
