DWUDatabase<p>I would always have said that the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a> console room was my least favourite, but I think this is worse. It feels claustrophobic. The console is almost touching the wall <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DeathtotheDaleks" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DeathtotheDaleks</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>I never believe the Master when he claims to want to kill the Doctor. He would have died here if the Master hadn't come to the rescue. Clearly he doesn't want him to actually come to harm (or maybe he's just repaying the debt from <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a>) <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/FrontierinSpace" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FrontierinSpace</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>I've being playing around with <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Udio" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Udio</span></a> and may now be slightly obsessed. Here are a couple of variations <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://www.udio.com/songs/tEFLuJDMGyEyQESCvye1MP" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">udio.com/songs/tEFLuJDMGyEyQES</span><span class="invisible">Cvye1MP</span></a></p><p><a href="https://www.udio.com/songs/74k8bkaW8ZytpyUoBye2Yo" rel="nofollow noopener" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">udio.com/songs/74k8bkaW8ZytpyU</span><span class="invisible">oBye2Yo</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>Roger Delgado is really let down by this script. It is the first time I have ever seen him act something badly but not sure how else he could have done this. I don't like this scene at all <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>S9 arguably has the same ending as S8, with Jo saving the day by sacrificing herself. Here it works much better. Jo isn't sacrificing herself for the Doctor (she is sacrificing him as well) but for the whole Universe and because she knows he can't do it <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>I'm sure that this is all very dramatic but I was fixated on wondering whether the Masters time rota doubles as a chocolate fountain <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>Once again Galleia is great in this story. I like her reaction to the Master when he treats her like a "servant girl" and when she finds out that Dalios is dead but most of all I like this scene where she realises her ambition destroyed her whole world <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>After yesterday I was thinking about the three (so far) destructions of Atlantis. The most obvious resolution is Kronos themselves. This is a being outside of time and easily able to account for any possible paradox <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>DOCTOR: That's good. I'm sorry I brought you to Atlantis.<br>JO: I'm not.<br>DOCTOR: Thank you.<br>The chemistry between these two is undeniable. I think an argument can be made for Jo being the Doctors favourite companion. It helps that both actors are brilliant <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>I think this is a great scene as the Doctor finally tells us a story about his past (Jon Pertwee delivers this particularly well). Is Jo the first companion he has felt comfortable divulging this much personal history to? And the story of Lungbarrow begins <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>After learning that this poor guy has been here protecting the crystal for 500 yrs, to be killed by a bull fighting cloak, a karate chop and running through a convenient shiny wall is a little embarrassing. This episode manages both great and disappointing <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>Having watched the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a> now I'm no clearer on whether this is before or after the <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Daemons" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Daemons</span></a> from the Masters perspective. Any thoughts? <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>I love Jo's look here. Groovy indeed <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>Galleia, however, is the standout of this story. Her scenes with the Master are great. He could just hypnotise her but he looks like he is enjoying all of the flirting <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>"How about, curses, foiled again?" This has a very Scooby Doo feel to it but I am here for it <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>Dalios is really good, I'm less convinced by Hippias. Still he is turning in an interesting performance <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>Is the Master having Chameleon Circuit problems as well? Is there any story reason the TARDIS doesn't change? Just feels lazy from a production standpoint <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>It is a nice change of pace to be out of the TARDIS and in Atlantis. It is all very amateur dramatic but I actually found this episode fun <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>No one laughs like Roger Delgado. Overall I think this is one of his best individual episodes. Even when Dalios resists him you never feel he is anything other than in control <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
DWUDatabase<p>Benton knows that Ruth has no clue what she is doing. He knows that this device aged Stuart 60 years in 2 minutes so what does he do, he leans on it. And people wonder why I don't like Benton <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/DoctorWho" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>DoctorWho</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TimeMonster" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TimeMonster</span></a></p>
