I recently bumped into the word "methodology" again. I hate this word. I've hated this word since I first bumped into it during my first summer as a co-op working in an R&D center in the sweltering summer of '88 in #Tidewater #Virginia. The suffix "-ology" means "the study of", e.g., "biology" is the study of life. Clearly #methodology is, or should be, the study of methods.

In our ongoing effort to explore local #food, we bought a box of #Yock today from the second best yock shop in #Hampton. (The #1 place sells it on Tuesdays only.) As you can see, it’s traditionally served in a plastic bag. Yock-a-mein is as delicious as it looks, so we only managed a couple bites each. Old barn at what was a rural steamboat landing on the Chesapeake Bay. Farmers and fisherfolk and artisans would store their wares here until the steamboats picked up along with passengers on the way to Baltimore or Norfolk.
