@rexbron so this means our government would need to address the #crtc to make this happen? Along with proper reigns on telecomm companies.

Our elder needs cable, cannot understand streaming. The fees? Internet, cable, and landline are $288 per month (thank you #telus). This is not even discussing devices.

We had loads of telecomm promises. Please tell me Carney cares.

Eleven years ago due to the unreasonably high cost of cellular service in #Canada, I decided to cancel and ported my number to #Ooma VoIP home phone service until prices came down. Ooma is based in the USA so I ported my number back to #Telus for a prepaid cellular plan that was very reasonably priced. I spent eleven years living the dream of the 90's, bouncing between wifi hotspots like they were internet cafes. Hello Canadian LTE lifestyle, goodbye Ooma. #BoycottUSA #CanadaStrong

I receive emails from all kinds of companies and by and large most of the Canadian companies are sensitive to the political reality and are changing their messages to address the desire of people not wanting to visit the USA.

So, how do you shame a #Canadian company like #Telus ?

Hey #canada, if you get a marketing email from #koodo or #telus promoting a bundle of US streaming service, send them a note not to be tone deaf. If you click through the feedback you can get an escalate to management form. Tell they you want a value add #Canadian product offering.

Surtout quand tu envoie un #pourriel pour nous demander de la signer… (Techniquement je suis client de Koodo, pas telus, même si c’est la même compagnie).

We use Mexican SIM cards and e-SIMs elsewhere. Easy to do.
