Jakob Fel :spinningdisc:
After much frustration, I finally finished Super Metroid entirely. Up until now, I had gotten far in the game but never outright beat it. chronohart
#SuperMetroid finished! Took just over 5 hours and I coolected 85% of the items. This might be the first time I've ever finished the game entirely without looking up a guide. There's definitely something freeing about replaying a game without worrying about collecting everything.

Very pleasant playthrough. I'm pretty sure some of the Redux patch changes enabled me to make it into some places out of order, which was interesting. I was worried a couple times that it got me stuck, but each time it all turned out well.

Definitely still got some time left this month, but I'm feeling pretty satisfied as far as Metroid goes, so I'm calling it here this month. Happy to have felt like participating again!

#VideoGameClub #VGCMay2025

chronohart
Getting started on #SuperMetroid today. Played the original plenty, both on original hardware and emulated, so I'm going with the Redux patch this time. Was gonna try wide-screen, too, but it seems the switch can't really handle the bsnes emulator. Oh well :akko_shrug:

#VideoGameClub #VGCMay2025

Scribblemacher
Finished a replay of #SuperMetroid tonight. I tried Pinball but hated it and Hunters, but found it boring.

There's Zero Mission, but I did replay that within the past year.

Apparently I forgot how much I like #Metroid

chronohart
And done!

Glad I didn't spend the money on Metroid Prime Remastered, but I *am* glad I played it! Checking out the remaster was good motivation to get participating again and the game itself was fun regardless.

Didn't remember having quite so much trouble with the platforming nor the enemies that required specific beam types previous (Fusion Metroids and Troopers), but eh.

Surprised how low my completion percentage is, though! Only 83%, but I did at least get Samus sans helmet!

Since the month's barely half over, I think I'll pick another game. Probably #SuperMetroid.
