Still trying to get this sun ultra 5 to boot off install medium - turns out it will support DVD drives, but will only boot from ones that support 512 block transfers (which I now gather mine does not). Up to 500 characters per post and less distraction.</p><p>Currently I'm struggling with NetBSD 9.3's kernel crashing on my Mac mini G4. It boots from a USB stick but panics with an ISI trap (trying to jump to unmapped code) very early on. I'm looking at the MPC7447A chip errata now for clues.
