Quai N - Gare de Lyon - Nouvel épreuvage.

Le premier épreuvage avait été fait sur Lightroom pour Android et avait donné un résultat très bruité avec des aberrations numériques. Celui-ci a été fait sur PC, avec DarkTable et, malgré une compression jpg visible, le résultat est bien plus satisfaisant. Voilà pourquoi je republie cette photo.

I originally planned to finally make the trek down south to visit @benbrown's favorite coffee shop and check out some zines, but it's hella (crazy!) windy here today and it looks like most of the seating at that place is outside, so I think I'm gonna postpone until tomorrow.

So, I instead decided to inject a little bit of #solarpunk #urbanism in my run-of-the-mill #suburban #cyberpunk #dystopian life and walk the quarter mile or so to a local coffee shop in the hopes that it would not be packed as per yoosh. Figured I'd save some carbon emissions while also getting in a tiny lil' bit of exercise while going nomad for an hour or two.

At least this way I won't have to fight traffic or destroy the environment while I'm gettin' my walkabout tendencies satisfied. But I will say that today is one o' them days when I really kinda wish that I lived in a dense walking city like NYC with really good public transportation.

This discussion & the diagrams are an excellent explanation of why #suburbs are inefficient, create/cause traffic jams & are effectively welfare / subsidized communities tht don’t really serve any purpose other than exclusion. Is also a strain on climate change bc they sap resources (gas, energy, materials, time to go to/from), are less energy efficient etc.
