ArtemisYay! My backyard stream is healthy! I looked under rocks and found a bunch of benthic macro invertebrate larvae (caddisfly hut and 2 something elses, probably mayfly or stonefly). I think there are fly patterns (for fly fishing) for both the adult, winged form and for the nymph.Photo taken on the bank of the Deschutes River in Central Oregon, where my husband was fly fishing while I sat in the shade, avoiding the masses of poison oak.
