I like that. There was a scene in Station 11 where after the apocalypse the kid was downloading wikipedia. Alan Brookland<p>I have to say, if I had to pick a post-apocalyptic world to live in, the one in <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Station11" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Station11</span></a> looks quite nice.</p>
Brassica-boy now in #F9CBD3<p>Watched the end of <a href="https://hackers.town/tags/station11" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>station11</span></a> , cried like a sad billionaire getting mocked by "simple" people.<br>10/10 would watch it again.</p>
paidhiFinished <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.kultwiki.net/tag/station11" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Station11</a>, what a ride! Ends with everyone coming "home". Usually I hate happy endings (because they are lying, isn't it so, Mr <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.kultwiki.net/tag/adorno" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Adorno</a>?) but this one was tolerable!
paidhiWatching <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.kultwiki.net/tag/station11" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#Station11</a>, artsy (= a lot of Shakespeare) but interesting and well-made TV. The whole <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.kultwiki.net/tag/pandemic" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#pandemic</a> theme resonates in a special way, obviously, but things moved much slower and the virus was less brutal in the real world. So far, the series (I am mid-season) abstracts the political dimension away mainly because the breakdown is so complete that states and governments do not matter any longer. The real <a class="hashtag" href="https://social.kultwiki.net/tag/covid" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#COVID</a> was very different: states and governments became much stronger actors.
jack the nonabrasive<p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TheLastOfUsTVShow" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TheLastOfUsTVShow</span></a> seems doomed to become irrelevant, not even the level of popcorn urgency that <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/BattlestarGalactica" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BattlestarGalactica</span></a> was in its heyday. </p><p>Which is a shame, because <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/BSG" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>BSG</span></a> shed a light on Bush’s Wars and the challenges to democracy at a time we needed it, providing a counter narrative to the likes of #24.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/TLoUHBOMax" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>TLoUHBOMax</span></a> has the potential to be *the* SF story about the pandemic. John Mark :blobcatverified: ☑️<p>I feel like we're in a post-apocalypse series, a la Station 11, trying to reconnect with the remnants of society lol. All of us who used to believe in the power of connectivity have had a hard awakening over the last 6 years and now we've hit the reset button, trying to start over. It's partly exhilarating, partly exhausting. <a href="https://freeradical.zone/tags/station11" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>station11</span></a> speaks to me because everyone around from the old times has PTSD and wants to run away from the past but all the new folks are obsessed with the old days.</p>
