@mhoye @michaelcoyote I think that's what #SnowflakeOS https://snowflakeos.org/ is trying to do.
Their nix-software-center: A simple gtk4/libadwaita software center to easily install and manage nix packages https://github.com/snowfallorg/nix-software-center#readme would really have made life easier for the OP... at least in the getting started phase.
hi,
I have a little question: I have a #MiniPC #B_MAX #B1Pro and not all #Linux #Distributions can even display the #GUI, thus far, I successfully tested #SnowflakeOS , #EndeavourOS and #LinuxMint , however, the regular #NixOS and #SyphaxOS did not work
it goes without saying that winlol works, 10 and 11
what could be the cause?
@batvin3211 @ublue I have high hopes for #SnowflakeOS https://snowflakeos.org/ which looks very promising. Having an actual Software Store style UI for adding packages, and a configuration editor could help make it much more accessible and maybe ease some of your maintenance burden. I'm really hoping that their work makes it back upstream to core #nixos

I'm happy to announce that #SnowflakeOS and its related projects from @vlinkz is joining #SnowfallOrg!
I've been extremely excited with the work that @vlinkz has been doing. We found there was some overlap with what Snowfall Lib could provide for SnowflakeOS and bringing the projects under the same roof will make it much easier to coordinate!
@luna @Houl I've been using the same #SnowflakeOS install for over a year, but the only thing I use from it is the wrapper cli
been on the same #SnowflakeOS install since mid/late october last year and haven't needed to reinstall once
We are excited to announce the initial release of Icicle, the new installer for SnowflakeOS and NixOS based distributions. Icicle is built using gtk4 and libadwaita and is highly customizable. You can try it out in our latest ISO available at https://snowflakeos.org/ or check out Icicle itself on GitHub: https://github.com/snowflakelinux/icicle
SnowflakeOS ships with NixOS Configuration Editor by default, allowing users to graphically manage their configuration.nix file! If you're already using NixOS you can try out the tool at https://github.com/vlinkz/nixos-conf-editor

SnowflakeOS is a NixOS-based Linux distribution with the goal of providing the stability and reproducibility of NixOS while being easy to use and accessible to non-programmers.
