Marie HérouxDéjà 2024. Le temps passe si vite! Plus je vieillis, plus les jours, les semaines et les mois sont courts! Peut-être parce que je fais tout moins vite qu’avant haha! Me semble que je manque de temps…C’est un des avantages de vieillir: je suis beaucoup moins stressée et je ne me sens pas pressée pantoute! Pas beaucoup de pression sur les épaules mémé!Farce à part, j’ai quand même tout plein d’énergie et je fais des choses que je n’avais pas le temps de faire jadis, entre autres, beaucoup cuisiner, beaucoup de plein air, beaucoup de sorties et beaucoup de niaisage sur ma tablette haha!Voici quelques bribes de mon année 2023 en photos. Dès janvier, je me suis mise au ski de fond et j’ai recommencé à faire du ski alpin. C’est tellement agréable de vivre près des pistes. Si je traverse ma cour pour me rendre à la piste de ski de fond (<a href="https://www.v3r.net/activites-et-loisirs/installations-sportives-et-recreatives/velo#parc-lineaire-des-atikamekw" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Parc linéaire des Atikamekws</a>, à Trois-Rivières), je suis à 30 minutes en voiture du centre de ski <a href="https://valleeduparc.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Vallée-du-Parc</a>. C’est à Shawinigan. Une petite montagne me direz-vous! Mais c’est tout ce qu’il faut pour profiter pleinement et apprécier l’hiver! J’ai ressorti mes skis cette année dès qu’on a eu assez de neige. Même manteaux, même tuques, même skis et surtout même plaisir !!!Par une journée très chaude de juillet, je suis allée cueillir des fraises à la <a href="https://www.fermeethier.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Ferme Éthier Les Fruits Soleil</a> de St-Étienne-des-Grès. C’est tout près de Trois-Rivières. Le site est vraiment beau. Selon la saison, on peut y cueillir des tulipes, des fraises, des amélanches, des bleuets, des camerises, des citrouilles et des courges. Je me promets de retourner cette année pour les tulipes et les fraises entre autres. Je dois vous parler de mon expérience au restaurant gastronomique Au Pâturage – Espaces gourmands de Ste-Perpétue. C’était tellement formidable! Non seulement c’était beau et la nourriture était exquise, mais j’ai retrouvé mes amies Lyne et Béatrice avec une telle joie! Ça faisait bien longtemps que je n’avais pas eu un événement semblable. Il faisait tellement beau en plus. Bref ça été une soirée parfaite. Moi oui et je tenais à m’habiller en rose. À Montréal, les gens se « déguisaient » comme Barbie pour se rendre au cinéma. Il y avait plein de Barbie et de Ken dans les salles! Malheureusement pour moi, malgré ma grande motivation (et une salle pleine), j’étais la seule au cinéma de Trois-Rivières à être vêtue de rose… Faut croire que le mémo ne s’est pas rendu « en région » haha! Mais j’ai assumé mon look à 100%! En passant j’ai bien aimé ce film! Ensuite il y a eu la saison des pommes. Dans mon coin il y a beaucoup de vergers. Je me suis rendue à Ste-Anne-de-la-Pérade au <a href="https://www.vergerbarry.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Verger Barry</a>. Des pommes, en veux-tu? en v’là!En moins de 30 minutes, Chéri et moi avions déjà cueilli deux gros sacs de pommes McIntosh délicieuses. Y faisait beau soleil! Tellement agréable! Le Verger Barry est situé à environ 40 minutes de Trois-Rivières. Un autre endroit où je vais retourner en 2024! Une autre belle visite dans ma région fut celle à la ferme <a href="https://www.passionlavande.ca/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Passion Lavande</a> à St-Sévère. La saison de la lavande était terminée mais on a pu voir un magnifique champ de tournesols! C’était vraiment magique toutes ces fleurs à perte de vue. La région de St-Sévère est située près de Yamachiche, en Mauricie, à environ 30 minutes de Trois-Rivières. On a profité de notre promenade dans ce coin-là pour visiter aussi le <a href="https://www.domainegelinas.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Vignoble et Domaine Gélinas</a>, la Ferme de patates <a href="https://www.lescouleursdelaterre.ca/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Les couleurs de la terre</a> et sa réputée (et délicieuse) poutine et l’atelier-boutique <a href="https://www.rienneseperd.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">Rien ne se perd tout se crée</a>. Ça c’est une belle boutique. Les designers Evelyne Gélinas et Marie-Claude Trempe fabriquent sur place, avec leur équipe d’artisans, des vêtements pour hommes, femmes et enfants à partir de fournisseurs de tissus du Québec. En plus des vêtements, on trouve dans cette boutique des produits pour le corps et pour la maison et, plein d’idées cadeaux de toute sorte. Tout est fabriqué au Québec par des artisans d’ici. La ferme de patates « Les couleurs de la terre » offre une délicieuse poutine. Mon année 2023 s’est terminée sur une note triste avec, le 10 septembre, le décès de ma maman. Elle avait 95 ans. Vous dire combien j’ai eu de la peine… Quand elle est partie, il y avait tellement d’amour autour d’elle. Elle est partie paisiblement dans le calme et la sérénité. Je remercie tous les employés et bénévoles du CHSLD Réal-Morel de Verdun qui nous ont accompagnés dans ces derniers moments. Une grosse étape que la perte de ma mère. Mais la vie est tellement bien faite car en août, elle m’a fait le plus beau cadeau: ma petite-fille Éléonore. Et oui je suis une nouvelle grand-maman! Pas besoin de vous dire que je suis complètement gaga. Un grand grand bonheur! Sur ce je vous souhaite une très bonne année 2024. Bonheur, santé et plein de projets !!! Gersande La FlècheSkier le vortex polaire! Ayoye, il faisait froid. Personne sur le Mont Royal à part quelques vieux loups de mer qui étaient très impressionnés de me voir dévaler les pentes autour du sommet. Et en effet, le froid était difficile malgré le grand soleil. -27 ou -29 Celsius sur le mercure, mais avec l'effet éolien ça pouvait baisser jusqu'à -39 ou -40 C. Ces journées de neige douce et bonne pour le sport deviennent de plus en plus rare à cause du bouleversement climatique.
