Asakiyume<p>We wore jeans and long sleeves for protection against thorns and bug bites and shouldered heavy packs. Within minutes of beginning the trek we were sweating, but the views from the trail were beautiful. Shortly after midday, our leader called for a rest, and we set down our packs.</p><p>"This way," she said. Around a curve in the path was a cascade of water that pooled in a limestone basin below.
