Jakob Voß<p><a href="https://openbiblio.social/tags/Wikidata" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Wikidata</span></a> popularized <a href="https://openbiblio.social/tags/SPARQL" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SPARQL</span></a> to query RDF by providing open tools and data to play with. Andra Waagmeester<p>Today I talked (and learned) about various forms of cancer, cotton, and moth detection and their description all through the common backbone of the semantic web. While being tired from a day of back-to-back (zoom) meetings, I do love my job. So much potential in <a href="https://genomic.social/tags/Wikidata" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Wikidata</span></a> <a href="https://genomic.social/tags/RDF" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>RDF</span></a> <a href="https://genomic.social/tags/SPARQL" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SPARQL</span></a> <a href="https://genomic.social/tags/SHEX" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SHEX</span></a></p>

Trying to get all moths from <a href="https://genomic.social/tags/Wikidata" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Wikidata</span></a> would be possible by the <a href="https://genomic.social/tags/SPARQL" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SPARQL</span></a> query below, which times out. <br><a href="https://w.wiki/6Nhu" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">w.wiki/6Nhu</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p>I created a subset from <a href="https://genomic.social/tags/wikidata" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wikidata</span></a> using <a href="https://genomic.social/tags/ShEx" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ShEx</span></a> <a href="https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.7662320" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.7662320</span><span class="invisible"></span></a>. <br>Loaded the triples into a <a href="https://genomic.social/tags/Graphdb" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Graphdb</span></a> instance and I am happy because I can now explore the <a href="https://genomic.social/tags/Moth" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Moth</span></a> space on <a href="https://genomic.social/tags/wikidata" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>wikidata</span></a>. <br>All on my KDE <a href="https://genomic.social/tags/slimbook" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>slimbook</span></a> (<a href="https://kde.slimbook.es/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">kde.slimbook.es/</span><span class="invisible"></span></a>)</p>
Adrian<p>I started working on <a href="https://openbiblio.social/tags/ShEx" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>ShEx</span></a> shapes to validate whether a SKOS file is ready to be published with <a href="https://openbiblio.social/tags/SkoHub" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>SkoHub</span></a>.
