Evening, Toots. Well, I didn’t get out today, but I just remembered I have a Zoom meeting tonight - the #SAG (Society of Australian Genealogists) are running a “Let’s Talk About…” session on the topic of War Brides. My Maternal Grandmother, Rosita, an English War Bride, came out to Australia in 1946 with my Mum, after marrying my Australian Grandfather, who was serving with an Aussie Squadron attached to the RAF when they met. He didn’t get back to Australia until a bit later that year.
Anyway, here’s my Mum, aged about 3, being very cute on the “Atlantis” on the way over.
