Sunjay Armstead attended #RubyConf 2024 as part of our Scholars & Guides program!
He also has experience with Javascript — so we asked what inspiration other languages can draw from Ruby.

We're beyond thrilled to be featured in the Ruby Central Newsletter!
This spotlight highlights how #Ruby and #Rails have been instrumental in our growth and success. From our humble beginnings at #RubyConf 2010 to becoming a leading domain management solution

Big news for the #Ruby community. @rubycentral is hosting RailsConf 2025, and there won’t be a #RubyConf that year — making this the only major Ruby Central event in 2025.
To support the community, I got a supporter ticket as a small way to give back. If you care about the future of #Ruby, let’s help spread the word and show our support.

Everything comes to an end, and so does our CFP.
But there are plenty of exciting updates ahead, including the lineup! We’ll publish it in early March. Stay tuned!
Is there something like https://rubyconf.org/ but in Europe?

I’m proud of how my #RubyConf talk came out - I put loads of work into trying to touch on every aspect of Ruby concurrency in ~25 minutes, and make it as accessible as possible. I think it's a great guide to the Ruby concurrency landscape.
My #RubyConf talk video is now live!
In the latest episode of @FounderQuest, @bencurtis, @jnunemaker, and I recap #RubyConf2024 and discuss how to sponsor conferences as a small business.

Last month at #RubyConf, Sunjay Armstead, a scholar from our Scholars & Guides Program, delivered an amazing lightning talk on his project: the Advance Manifesto.
Check out his site to get involved and support the next generation of technologists! https://buff.ly/4ifKexx
I don't really do #BlackFriday or #CyberMonday deals, but I do have a deal on my #RSpec book through the end of November for #Rubyconf! 53% off on @leanpub with this code: https://leanpub.com/everydayrailsrspec/c/rubyconf2024
I guess I found a down side to attending #RubyConf
Were you at #RubyConf last week?
We want to hear from you!
Attendee feedback is SO crucial so we can keep making our conferences better and better!
If you wouldn't mind spending just 5 minutes filling out our attendee survey, we would be so grateful. Responses are anonymous! https://buff.ly/3YUyiZ8

Also, #RubyConf had the largest number of attendees since 2018 this year!
Incidentally, 2018 was the year I gave a talk at RubyConf…
I’m heading home from #RubyConf now and although I have blown through my entire year’s social energy budget in three days, it still feels so good to have seen and chatted with so many Rubyists.
I continue to love Ruby after all these years. Technology hype cycles come and go, but Ruby’s always there for me, ready to help make great things.
And every RubyConf I learn new things. This year I learned what `p ?????:??` will output.
As I head to the airport to go home from #RubyConf2024 #RubyConf, it was an awesome week. Met so many lovely people including colleagues from my new team. And Chicago is a good city!
The day after a conference is always a weird mix of feelings. Sad that it’s over. Happy from all the moments. Tired from the long days, late nights and early starts (+ jet lag sometimes). Revitalised from all the amazing ideas & energy floating around.
It’s been an amazing few days of thought provoking sessions, open source hacking, rubyfriends old and new, plenty of local pizza & beer all in an amazing city
