#emacs folks, do you have an email spam handling config you're happy with with?

While I'm a fan of #email management via #emacs #mu4e, I kinda gave up pretty soon on integrating any sort of spam handling. Honestly didn't put much effort into it.

Today, I mostly rely on email provider spam filtering, and pick up whatever sifts through myself from mu4e. I'd love to minimise this further if possible.

I truly appreciate #Notmuch in #Emacs for searching my #email, for accessing Maildir folders synced over IMAP, and for linking to messages with the Ol-notmuch package.

Yet, I still envy those for whom #Rmail gets the job done, who can limit email activities to a single machine which need sync with no other.

With its instant access to the INBOX, and its quick movement between messages, it is as beautiful as an email client can be.

#rmail under #emacs badly needs a Maildir mode instead of
parsing the hugely inneficient Mbox file.
Natively, not by translating a Maildir directory
into an mbox file, which can be even slower.

#Emacs #Rmail (#mail reader) got an update upstream.
Namely, Eli Zaretskii commited "New Rmail commands for reading mailing-lists".

I use Rmail purely as an email client and read mailing lists in #Gnus now, but that's an interesting addition to take a look at.

Qualsiasi programma ti passi per la testa, c'è la versione per #emacs. Attenzione, è noto che #emacs può emulare un intero sistema operativo ma non è sempre detto che la cosa sia positiva. :P
