Ryan<p>Well, at least I've proved that it's either <a href="https://mas.to/tags/houdini" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>houdini</span></a> or <a href="https://mas.to/tags/renderman" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>renderman</span></a> that is at fault for being unable to properly daisy chain a PxrShadowFilter and PxrImagePlaneFilter to do a holdout to comp CG elements on a plate in camera.</p><p>Y'know, the bread and buffer of <a href="https://mas.to/tags/vfx" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>vfx</span></a>... it should not be this difficult.</p>

Still bummed out I didn't get an invite, Pixar being evasive about saying it was small and then it turns out it was a 2000 people event. Still trying to see if someone wants to trade an Elemental walking teapot for an older one

Yesterday was the #Pixar #Renderman Art & Science Fair. Many great presentations, including DNEG & #Nimona, Rob Pieké going down a Rubik’s cube solving rabbit hole, plus a surprise appearance of a famous director 👀

The most outlandish thing was the pre-show music choice which inspired me to play my iPhone ultra wide and zoom lens seamless transitions. Notice how the sound is recorded differently depending on the zoom level!
