Real-Time Messaging Protocol Encrypted (RTMPE) uses Adobe's encryption standards to protect RTMP streams.
Real-Time Messaging Protocol Tunneled (RTMPT) encapsulates RTMP data and sends it through HTTP.
Real-Time Media Flow Protocol (RTMFP) transmits audio and video securely over the internet. It is used when WebRTC technology is not available.

#AV1 & #HEVC #encoder support over #RTMPS for #YouTube streaming has finally been officially announced. I’ve been using HEVC for the past couple of months (RTMP standard was updated some time ago to support HEVC/AV1 ingest) but AV1 is still a buffering, skipping mess for me.
I’ve tried software #encoding (AOM/SVT) and hardware (#AMD #Radeon RX 7900 XTX) and neither has worked well with YouTube. I’ve tried different bitrates, low latency/normal latency modes for YouTube, 1440p & 1080p 60fps.
#OBS reports no dropped frames and no glaring issues in the logs.
Idk what to do man, I’m so disappointed and frustrated. I’ve been trying for months and YT Support has been no help. Some volunteer support from the OBS discord saw no issues either, so wtf?
