Updated simpit.dev/ - home of the #Space #PewPew #SimPit inspired by a #VF1 Valkyrie cockpit (#Macross)

That's a glorified #DIY joystick controller with an LCD ('MFD') and plenty of #RGB for my #Linux PC

Newest additions are my #XR sheniagans (and some notes on #Breezy and the usage of #IMU data as #headtracker), the games #AceCombat and #XWVM (#XWing / #TIEFighter) and a bunch of videos were updated.

Best viewed WITH an ad-blocker and patience (slow af).

The difference between sRGB, Adobe RGB and ProPhoto RGB.

is the standard color space for use on the web and most print labs accept files in this color space.

is a larger color space than sRGB and is often used for professional printing. Adobe RGB is too large of a color space for the web, but it can be converted to sRGB for online publishing.

RGB is the largest of these three color profiles. If you plan to use ProPhoto RGB, you will need to shoot in format.

HWB (Hue, Whiteness, Blackness) is a cylindrical-coordinate representation of points in an RGB color model, similar to HSL and HSV. It was developed by HSV's creator Alvy Ray Smith in 1996 to address some of the issues with HSV.

RGB is the most popular color profile used, but it is difficult to discover the lighter and darker RGB tones from a specific color. This is where using other color profiles like Lab, LCH, HSV and HSL can help. Imagine converting RGB to another color profile (like HSL) just to adjust the lightness or darkness of the color and returning the RGB values in realtime.
