PyCon Italia<p>Ready to spend your weekend writing that amazing talk you always wanted to give? 🐍</p><p>Our Call for Proposals is open, and we can't wait to see your ideas! <a href="https://pycon.it/call-for-proposals" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">pycon.it/call-for-proposals</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p><p><a href="https://social.python.it/tags/PyConIT2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PyConIT2024</span></a></p>
PyCon Italia<p>If you couldn't get a ticket this year or need to catch up on all the other talks, they are now on YouTube!</p><p>Rewatch PyCon Italia 2024: <a href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFxkG856NgEG9yqSRnIMnhHNu_AnIsCO8" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFx</span><span class="invisible">kG856NgEG9yqSRnIMnhHNu_AnIsCO8</span></a> </p><p><a href="https://social.python.it/tags/PyConIT2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PyConIT2024</span></a></p>
Andrea Grandi 🦕<p>I nearly missed this, but all the videos of the talks from <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/PyConIT2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PyConIT2024</span></a> have been uploaded <a href="https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFxkG856NgEG9yqSRnIMnhHNu_AnIsCO8" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/playlist?list=PLFx</span><span class="invisible">kG856NgEG9yqSRnIMnhHNu_AnIsCO8</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/conference" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>conference</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Python</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Italy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>Italy</span></a></p>
Florian Haas<p>The edited video from my <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.python.it/@pycon" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>pycon</span></a></span>🇮🇹 talk is up. I am very happy with how this one turned out. If you have 45 minutes to spare, you might want to watch it.</p><p>(Note to self, for next time: don't stand so that half of my body is acting as the projection screen; it's a bit visually distracting.)</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/PyConIT2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PyConIT2024</span></a></p><p><a href="https://youtu.be/KlE-VyUYLts" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">youtu.be/KlE-VyUYLts</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
Florian Haas<p>This is Ernesto. Ernesto is the best speaker communicator that I know of, in any conference I've been to.</p><p>If you run speaker communications for a conference, be like Ernesto.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/PyConIT2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PyConIT2024</span></a> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://social.python.it/@pycon" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">@<span>pycon</span></a></span>🇮🇹</p><p><a href="https://flic.kr/p/2pVRwWP" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">flic.kr/p/2pVRwWP</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
Florian Haas<p>Hey look, it's me and Rutger Hauer.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/PyConIT2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PyConIT2024</span></a></p><p><a href="https://flic.kr/p/2pVSHjC" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="">flic.kr/p/2pVSHjC</span><span class="invisible"></span></a></p>
Anže :python:<p>One cool thing that I&#39;ve learned @ <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/PyConIT2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PyConIT2024</span></a> is that the next version of uvicorn is going to have a built in process manager, so there will be no need to run uvicorn from gunicorn if you wanted to run multiple processes 🎉</p>
Florian Haas<p>Obviously, <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/PyConIT2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PyConIT2024</span></a> (and 2023) called for some food exploration.</p><p>As always, I don't claim for these to be the 3 *best* places to go to, but rather 3 *good* places, among a multitude.</p><p>Except this time it's actually 4, including a Special Mention.</p><p><a href="https://xahteiwi.eu/blog/2024/05/27/3-places-to-eat-flr/" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://</span><span class="ellipsis">xahteiwi.eu/blog/2024/05/27/3-</span><span class="invisible">places-to-eat-flr/</span></a></p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/foodieverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>foodieverse</span></a></p>
Florian Haas<p>Raw recording from my <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/PyConIT2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" target="_blank">#<span>PyConIT2024</span></a> talk. </p><p>(Thumbnail is from a different presentation; link includes timestamp of where I start to talk.)<br><a href="https://www.youtube.com/live/-bpwE60oLZo?t=4174s" rel="nofollow noopener noreferrer" translate="no" target="_blank"><span class="invisible">https://www.</span><span class="ellipsis">youtube.com/live/-bpwE60oLZo?t</span><span class="invisible">=4174s</span></a></p>
Clément Robert :python:<p>This year’s masking policy was “wear a mask if you want, and some will be available on demand”. Clearly it didn’t work for me. I also haven’t heard anything about the matter from the staff while on site.</p><p>Sadly, I don’t think I’ll come back next year if the policy isn’t revised.</p><p><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/PyConIt2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PyConIt2024</span></a></p>
Clément Robert :python:<p>I’m seeing a lot of toots from people who came back from <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/PyConUS2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PyConUS2024</span></a>, and tested negative to COVID. Meanwhile, I’m just back from <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/PyConIt2024" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PyConIt2024</span></a> : I don’t think I was ever that sick in my entire adult life, and I was one of maybe two to three attendees wearing a mask.</p>
