Hey #LinuxAudio geeks, anyone succeeded using multiple #proAudio cards with #pipewire? I have a RME HDSPe MADI (with a massive 32 in rack) and a RME HDSPe RayDAT (with a modest 8x8 in/out rack). In pipewire, I only see the MADI card. I have 0 DA converter on MADI so it's basically useless: I have *zero* working outputs with Pipewire.

I can run jackd over pipewire and it works, but gets unreliable: the bridge from jack to pw regularly drops under load, requiring a restart of jackd.

Ideas?

I need to compare a reference mix to the one that my team did in the AES student mixing competition last month. #SonicVisualiser is a great tool for this, but first I need to normalize the audio tracks so they are at roughly the same perceived loudness. ffmpeg-normalize is a quick CLI tool for this purpose.

My new sticker order arrived. I am trying out TheStickyBrand.com, which had a promo to get 100 of these (about 3"x2") vinyl holographic stickers for $25.

I like the way they turned out. There are some other designs I'd like to have lots of. I will order more. These are destined to be given to my audio nerd friends (and former instructors, one of whom inspired the design).

Today on the Internet, I ran across someone referring to their resume as a CV, or a curriculum Vita. Though I have heard this terminology I’m really not sure what it means or where it comes from. I just had to chuckle, and then laugh out loud because these days, CV means control voltage in my world! If you're looking to equalize system audio with Pipewire, Easy Effects is pretty amazing for what it is.

You can save and import your presents. Switch them up, etc..

It kinda reminds me of my Winamp days, but you can set it up in many different ways, there are many effects to customize and have as many channels as you want.
