elbowcrookerMy latest charity shop book bargain:  The Concise British Flora in Colour by W. Keble Martin, 1st edition, 1965. The  illustrations are clear and sharp as the printing plates were new. In later editions the illustrations are often faded and fuzzy. Solarbird :flag_cascadia:Meanwhile the closest to correct water colour is base tint +50%, which is still too green everywhere else.Basically, this is a weird printer.I think I'm gonna try +1/8th on the red - maybe just a little shy of that - and +35 to 40% on the contrast. Solarbird :flag_cascadia:ANYWAY MUCH LATERIt's kinda weird! The amount of contrast has a real effect on the colour balance too on this printer. Not sure what's up with that.+1/8 red +25% contrast for example gives me arguably good enough visibility on the Seattle non-bike streets, though I'd like slightly more. But the Greater Northshore proper background is a little too red and also still kinda light.Then jumping to +50% contrast at 1/8 red somehow _corrects the colour balance in the land_. I don't know how that's happening.
