clever boi<p>Pop_Os has been so fantasti the past week. Everything j need. It does suck that, even with plenty of resources, im still getting a freezing problem regularly.</p><p>I blame GNOME for this (because I think home is icky.)</p><p>It makes me eager to switch to Cosmic when its stable.</p><p><a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/Poposlinux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>Poposlinux</span></a> <a href="https://mastodon.social/tags/PopOSCosmic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PopOSCosmic</span></a></p>
K<p>Hello Fediverse! This is my long overdue <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/introduction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>introduction</span></a>! I've just been a lurker here on the Fediverse for a longer time, but now that we're getting a lot of new people joining, I thought, why not say hi!</p><p>I'm on Pixelfed and Lemmy as well, but those are more or less just for following interesting categories.</p><p>I'm a Python back-end developer, currently working as a consultant in a small Finnish company. I've been in the scene since 2008, starting out with PHP, and then moving on to Python, and never looked back.</p><p>I'm interested in anything tech-related, Linux, DevOps, CLI tools, programming etc. I'm the kind of guy who gets enthusiastic about something new, dives deep into the rabbit-hole, and hopefully learns something new in the process.<br>I usually play casually Rocket League, The Witcher and GTA. Rocket League being pretty much the only game I play weekly.</p><p>Currently I'm testing Pop_OS! 24.04 on my work laptop, so I know if I can actually use it to replace my Windows 10 desktop. Seems that at least my Rocket League playing wouldn't be interrupted, since I got everything working quite smoothly. Even my Thrustmaster eSwap Pro controller works using xone.</p><p>I listen to all kinds of music, but mostly my playlists consists of any sub-genre of metal, hard rock, grind core, punk etc. When coding, I usually have my dubstep music on which helps me focus.</p><p>I hope to be posting something interesting over time, but for now, I'll probably just keep lurking, as usual :mortyheh: Have a nice day wherever you are!</p><p><a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/introduction" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>introduction</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/introductions" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>introductions</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/fediverse" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>fediverse</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/devops" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>devops</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/RocketLeague" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>RocketLeague</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/PopOSCosmic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PopOSCosmic</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/ReplaceWindows" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>ReplaceWindows</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/pixelfed" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>pixelfed</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/lemmy" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>lemmy</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/python" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>python</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/finnish" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>finnish</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/swedish" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>swedish</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/english" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>english</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/metalmusic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>metalmusic</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/hardrock" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>hardrock</span></a> <a href="https://social.linux.pizza/tags/grindcore" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>grindcore</span></a></p>
Rotfarm<p>Okay. finally popped PopOS onto this little thinkpad. This feels much better. Something a bit familiar, something a bit new. This nice little in between that isn't coding cool guy stuff.</p><p>Also I didn't think I wanted tiling until maybe just now. this is nice. This can stay.</p><p><a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/PopOSCosmic" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>PopOSCosmic</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/linux" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>linux</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/foreverCasual" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>foreverCasual</span></a> <a href="https://eldritch.cafe/tags/FOSSS" class="mention hashtag" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">#<span>FOSSS</span></a></p>
CapT-Rex :maryland: :nixos:<p>Well <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/PopOSCosmic" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PopOSCosmic</span></a> is now configured to look like <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/unity" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>unity</span></a> on my <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/raspberrypi400" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>raspberrypi400</span></a> running <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/PopOS2204" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PopOS2204</span></a></p>

codeHaiku :fosstodon:<p>Upgraded <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/pop_os" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>pop_os</span></a> last night from 20.04 to 21.04 on my main rig. The uograde was slow and a bit nerve-racking. In the end, I must say that <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/PopOSCosmic" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PopOSCosmic</span></a> desktop is quite nice. I no longer need <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/dashtodock" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>dashtodock</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/gnomeextension" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>gnomeextension</span></a> installed. I hope this DE carries on into <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/gnome40" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>gnome40</span></a>. Otherwise, it is <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/kde" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>kde</span></a> on a different distro as a replacement.</p>
CapT-Rex :maryland: :nixos:<p>I bet pop is 21.04 is about to release because I can&#39;t download the beta<br /><a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/popos" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>popos</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/PopOSCosmic" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>PopOSCosmic</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/pop_os" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>pop_os</span></a> <a href="https://fosstodon.org/tags/system76" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>system76</span></a></p>
