Wife to the 10 weeks old, who’s falling asleep while eating: ‘Poor you. You must be exhausted.’

Me: ‘Sure, the baby is the one who’s exhausted in this house…’

Good morning and happy Wednesday!

Working this morning and...once again a little tired. Most mornings, that's the case. I did happen to get to the gym early, though, which is good.

Tonight is a middle school honor society event for my MDMRNia (13), so that'll be nice.

Hope you have a great one.

The Supreme Court is discussing children's books today. A multifaith group of Maryland parents is suing on the grounds that their First Amendment right to freely exercise religion is being violated because they cannot opt their children out of instruction using storybooks with LGBTQ+-inclusive themes. Multiple religious groups oppose the lawsuit, saying allowing opt-outs would undermine schools' ability to foster tolerance, and divide kids along religious lines. @19thnews breaks down the arguments.

The 19th · How children’s picture books got to the Supreme CourtBy Orion Rummler

I asked Child B if they thought zebras were white with black stripes, or the other way around.

After careful consideration, they decided that the front half of a #zebra is white with black stripes, and the back half is black with white stripes. And if you look very carefully you can see where the halves meet.

Glad that's cleared up.
