BYD News<p>In late 2008 BYD launched the first PHEV with about 400 km range on a single charge and a top speed of 160km/h. It was no success, but evolution went on. Now in 2024 BYD claims 5x the range.</p><p>"BYD will be the biggest carmaker in China by 2015 and the biggest in the world by 2025."</p><p>BYD was off by 8 years on the first claim. It seems BYD will climb in the top 10 this year, but far off achieving the top spot.
